A Great Idea!

Okay! I was at my in-laws today for Easter and throughout the course of the day there were numbers of pictures taken. This is to be expected when there are five or six grandchildren and a crapton of older people. So I was taking a picture of my daughter and her cousin Scarlett on their grandma Terry's lap, and I was purposefully trying to make sure it was an exceptionally bad picture of Terry, just to fuck with her. She threatened me and asked me to delete it and I explained to her that it was my art, and I didn't have to compromise my artistic values simply to please her. Typical smartass fashion. Then my brother-in-law came up with one of those muse-like moments about making a collection of bad snapshots and calling it art and selling it.

LIGHT BULB!

What about an opposite Flickr? What about a website devoted to crappy photography? What about a website that had posts of nothing more than party quality drunken snapshots of people you know and love? Granted there is Myspace.com, and Flickr.com is not too far behind, for the most part, but I think that it would be fun, and of course funny. I did a preliminary search for bad snapshots, and candid pics and came up empty, with exception to sites that have sections for that. But I want an entire site devoted to the everyday picture. The camera phone picture. The "Oh shit! Delete that now!" picture.

Give me some feedback fellows.

Stumped.

Okay so here's the deal... I LOVE to talk some shit! Trash-talking is one of my favorite things to do in life. I live for the next opportunity for someone to make some minute mistake so that I can call them on it. It's what I do. Recently though... I found myself in a very hard situation. You see the Los Angeles Lakers have lost the last 8 games that they have played at the Rose Garden in Portland, and though I know that they don't have a great record against the Blazers at home I can't ever seem to shut my mouth when they meet. THEY SHOULD BEAT THEM!!! It doesn't logically make sense that they lose. It doesn't. No it doesn't. Nevertheless this is not the reason that I am in a difficult situation. The difficulty of this situation is that a Portland Trailblazer fan that I know, who lives in the Beaverton area, who shall remain nameless is a hardcore, trash-talking, cold-hearted, slinger of some serious shit talkage. During the game last night, I was literally lost for words a few times throughout our communications and I had no way to respond. I don't know exactly why I couldn't respond, but I have narrowed it down to a few possible causes:

One: Possibly she is a witch. I say we burn her to find out. It really is the only solution.

Two: Maybe she is a computer program. I do know someone very close to her that is handy with the computer.

Three: Maybe she read an article on trash-talking right before the game. Thus the key components of an insult are still fresh in her mind.

Four: iPhone app. This is probably the most likely reason.

Five: She is evil.

So I will have to give these reasons some more thought, but I think I definately have some solid leads to work off of.

Let me know what you think.
Night.

So here is the skinny on what the hell I am up to. I have currently been taking some web design classes at Ye Olde RCC. I haven’t yet acquired the proper skillz to do everything, (or anything for that matter) I want, but ultimately my goal is simple and can be outlined in a three part process as follows:

Step One: Cut a hole in the box.

Wait. Bad idea.

Step One: Learn fundamentals and basics of web design (just enough to get me started) and start working on the side, to develop web sites (hopefully) for local small time businesses and individuals.

Step One and a Half: Try to utilize valuable work time to complete some self-education.

Step Two: Through continuous education, carry on my ultimate short-time goal of creating a kick ass social networking site which I have named… “Project Ultimate Short-Time Goal.”

Step Three: Dominate.

So that’s what I got thus far. I bring this up because over the course of the next few months I could really use some sound technical advice (and I will most likely be calling on all of you) and most definitely feedback and input with all the developments that I will be posting along the way.
